Alba Hostel Glasgow is what everyone has been talking about!
We are the latest hostel in Glasgow. We are based in a 100 year old Victorian building, in the West End of Glasgow. We recently refurbished our building to a high standard, offering a unique experience to travellers. We offer safe, comfortable budget accommodation with great facilities and of course a great atmosphere where you can meet other like minded people.
Our Hostel is not only affordable but the rooms are incredibly spacious and enjoy high ceilings.
We offer free car parking (on a first come basis), there is also no curfew and no lock out rule, which is great for those late nights.
We are also located close to good bus and rail links. We are close to city centre of Glasgow, and outlying areas such as Loch Lomond and the Highlands of Scotland.

Reviews & Ratings Brooke from USA stayed here on 01st September 2010 The very first thing out of their mouths..."let me show you around"! That was the first time a hostel was that inviting and warm. We felt welcomed and at home. Highly enjoyed the residential area and the restaurant Witherspoon’s it was affordable food and great beer. Once again, highly recommend this hostel to anyone viewing this site. We were not disappointed! | Female 25-30 | eksharpe from USA stayed here on 31st August 2010 While I enjoyed the time I spent with the staff at Alba, there ar eno locks on the room doors and it is no where near the city center. Fortunately there is a train basically right outside the hostel. My main concern was the fact that there are no locks on room doors, but the staff are REALLY great fun. It also just doesn't have a lot of character, but, again, the staff makes up for it. | | gigglepips from England stayed here on 30th August 2010 v easy to find if you're driving in from the north - but since there are two roads with the same name in the city, take note that its the postcode G12, off Great Western Road. | Male 18-24 | rebeccadumbell6182 from UK stayed here on 24th August 2010 Bathroom was damp and there were suspicious hairs in the shower and sink. Otherwise a fairly pleasant place to stay with clean beds, friendly staff and good carparking facilities. It would have been better if there were tea and coffee facilities readily available for guests and perhaps some communal cups and plates, particularly for those only staying one or two nights.
The rooms had no locks on and it would have been very easy for a male guest to enter a female room on the ground floor, this would have troubled me if I were travelling alone and were alone in a dorm on the ground floor and had specifically requested a female only room. | | hezzypops6498 from Australia stayed here on 17th August 2010 Very nice clean hostel, comfortable and good facilities, pretty quiet however so if you are looking for a party, this is not the place. Staff always willing to help. | | bertm741806 from Australia stayed here on 16th August 2010 Not the friendliest boss (but otherwise good staff), and a fair way out of the city. A nice building with good bathrooms and facilities. | | gabriele72it4939 from Italy stayed here on 14th August 2010 ostello mediocre, distante dal centro, un bagno in comune. low quality. voto 4,5 | | Jax stayed here on 11th August 2010 No Atmosphere. The rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms/showers very good. But the Hostel itself had a dead atmosphere.
Anniesland is very out of the way for exploring Glasgow, and the town itself is dull.
After the first night we were woken at 8am, as the manager came in to tell us we were put in the wrong beds(they told us these were the beds we were to sleep in the night before). As if that couldn't have waited until we woke up. Then he came back half an hour later with a | | jockmeckendle8389 stayed here on 11th August 2010 great hostel. a bit out of town, but easy to get to by train or bus. it was one of the cleanest hostels ive ever stayed in and the beds where really good. staff where really nice and helpful and where good to have a drink with. | | atlautz stayed here on 10th August 2010 Clean, free parking, close to train station. Wifi was spotty. No locks on doors and not enough lockers in each room. | |
